Although, some of these job may be "outsourced" the computer
science opportunities remain. Many computer science skills need to be
rebuilt and recharged. Some employees need to improve their talents in order
to compete in the digital age. The computer science degree can be a stepping
stone for an information technology career.
The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics expects certain computer
science fields to experience fast employment growth rates: Computer systems
design and related services expected to grow by 40% to 2014. Other fields
should see above average growth rates.
